Last Wednesday I posted a list of things that make me happy.
Here are a few more.
- This website makes my heart smile. A mommy with a sleepy newborn imagines her baby's dreams and captures them on camera.
- If you watch Mad Men and saw Sunday's episode, you will appreciate the random gift and note I received today from a friend.
- Shark Week on the Discovery Channel and the humbling reminder that when you strip away boats and fishing gear, leaving man vs. shark, we aren't the most powerful creature.
- Good hair days
- Chocolate in the fridge. So much better than the alternative: melted, sloppy chocolate that can't take the summer heat.
- My sleepy kitty
- My scary-movie-watching kitty
- Crossing a book off the list. I finished Tori Spelling's latest and I've moved on to rereading The Great Gatsby. I probably should have allowed for a transitional book...
- Good neighbors.
- Gordon Ramsey. I could listen to him talk (okay, yell) all day.
- Pita chip pizza (recipe here). Pita chips, pesto, red peppers, and mozzarella cheese = delicious.

that website is truly amazing with the newborns pictures!! haha, I mean, how on earth does she come up with that many options? I think I'd run dry the first day!

I was at the movies and there was a trailor for a new film that had don in it... and i screamed 'OMG its Don Draper" in the cinemas... people looked at me funny... ahahah

Hmmm, today I'm happy 'cause I made a pie. No one could be unhappy with a pie in the kitchen, I think.
Quiet mornings make me happy and seeing my girls when they first wake up, all sleepy and hair everywhere.
ReplyDeleteYeah you should have had a transition before Gatsby! Remember all the symbolism your 11th grad English teacher made you search for. To Kill a Mockingbird is another great re-read!
I hate to follow the crowd -- but those curls -- Wowzers! Do you use a 1 inch curling iron? You make me feel very guilty as I sit in my pajamas (again!). p.s. I store the chocolate in the fridge too!!

I have never read the great gatsby, though I have seen the movie. I am named after the main character (Daisy Buchannaon.) OK So Daisy is only my nickname, but it did come from her.
