Mi Casa es Su Casa

{Source}

Last August Keith left for his third deployment.  We planned for an April return, but he's coming home earlier!  We are under the 10 day mark, y'all - this is crazy exciting.

I know I've mentioned this before, but when Keith comes back he'll be the bf and the roommate.  I have lived on my own for more than five years and I have loved every day of it.  I am very confident that I'll love living with Keith, too, but there are some things I need to adjust... I mean, I don't have to, but things will be peachier for both of us if I stop:

  • going to the bathroom with the door open
  • hogging all the hot water
  • sleeping in the middle of the bed
  • talking to the kitties like they're human (just kidding, I won't stop)
  • hitting the snooze button 348,127 times every morning
  • thinking about just what I want for dinner
  • DVRing so many girly shows (not!  They're vital to my health.)
  • stockpiling the fridge with only Diet Coke, eggs and coffee creamer

A lot of you have significant others or spouses... what's your advice for making this next step as awesome as possible?  Any tips or secrets you'd like to share, oh wise ones?

Happy weekend!

PS - I will not stop singing in the shower or yelling at The Bachelor.  He's just going to have to learn to live with that. :)

Weekend + February Photo Challenge - Days 13-19

Holy smokes, I can't believe how quickly this month is going!

It's been a super relaxing weekend.  After not needing to turn on the heat for a couple days, it's now 33 degrees and dropping!  If the weatherman can be trusted (and many times he cannot), this gray, rainy, sleety day will turn into a snowy night.  Our first snowfall in almost a year!

The weather was fantastic yesterday, so spending time outside without coats totally happened, heck yes.

The nephew's driving skills really have come a long way since last summer:

I've had paint samples lying around for a while now and I finally got around to Mod Podging them to a canvas.  Where to put it remains to be seen, but I think I like it.

And then of course there is the February Photo Challenge:

The prompts

Day 13: Blue
Blood pressure was perfect!

Day 14: Heart

Day 15: Phone

Day 16: Something new
A new iced coffee with a Starbucks gift certificate.

Day 17: Time
"Time to pet me, Mom!"

Day 18: Drink

Day 19: Something you hate
Hate is a strong word.  That said,
I hate waking up to an alarm clock.

And now?
